Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17 – Basque Soccer Celebrations and Soccer Clinics held at various locations throughout the Treasure Valley and featuring coaching and instruction from the Boise State women’s soccer team and coaches. These clinics are lead by Basque Soccer Friendly sponsor, St. Luke’s.

Thursday, July 16 – 8:50 pm.  Arrival of Athletic Club Bilbao via private charter at the Western Aircraft Terminal (4450 South Kennedy Street, Boise).  Boise Mayor Dave Bieter and Basque Soccer Friendly officials will be on hand to greet the team and traveling part upon arrival in Boise.  This marks the first time in the tradition rich Athletic history that the team has played a match in Boise and it is their second match ever in the United States.  Since its founding in 1898, Athletic has played exclusively with Basque players and has been one of the most successful teams in Spain’s La Liga, widely considered one of the strongest professional soccer leagues in Europe. Media and fans are invited to join us to welcome Athletic Club Bilbao to Boise for this historic event.

Friday, July 17 – 3:00 – 4:00 pm.  Athletic Club Bilbao Autograph signing events at the Basque Center (601 Grove Street, Boise) and at the Basque Soccer Friendly HQ (401 S. 8th Street, Boise) featuring select players from Athletic Club Bilbao. At the Basque Center the players will be available for pictures and autographs during this time and at the Basque Soccer Friendly HQ the players will be available for pictures, autographs as well as playing FIFA 15. Basque Soccer Friendly and Athletic Club Bilbao merchandise will be available for purchase at both locations.

Friday, July 17 – 4:00 pm.  Press Conference on the Basque Block (located on Grove Street between Sixth and Capitol in downtown Boise).  Boise Mayor Dave Bieter and Basque Soccer Friendly organizers will speak at the event, which will also feature the President of Athletic Club Bilbao Josu Urrutia (speaking in Basque or Spanish with an English translator) and select players. President Urrutia will answer questions. To ease the flow of the Press Conference, if possible, media is requested to ask their questions in Spanish or Basque.

Friday, July 17 – 9:45 pm.   Arrival of Club Tijuana at the Boise Airport.  Basque Soccer Friendly officials will be on hand to greet the team and traveling part upon arrival in Boise. Club Tijuana is a member of Mexico’s Liga MX.  The team was founded in 2007, and most recently captured the Liga MX championship in 2012.  Media and fans are invited to join us to welcome Club Tijuana in the arrivals and welcome area at the Boise Airport for this historic event.

Saturday, July 18 – Noon Club Tijuana will host an Autograph Signing event in the Sapphire Room of The Riverside Hotel featuring select players from Club Tijuana. Another media alert finalizing the time of the Autograph Signing for Club Tijuana will be sent in the coming days.

Saturday, July 18 – Noon.  Ticket office opens at Albertsons Stadium for day of match ticket sales.

Saturday, July 18 – Noon.  Parking lot at Albertsons Stadium opens for match parking.  Regular parking/tailgating spots are $25 per space and sold on first come, first serve basis.  RV spots are $75.

Saturday, July 18 – 5:00pm –Free shuttles from downtown Boise to Albertsons Stadium for the Basque Soccer Friendly will leave from Main Street and 9th (near the Wells Fargo Building) starting at 5:00pm. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from 5pm to 7pm. Thank you to the Downtown Boise Association and Capital City Development Corporation for making this service possible.

Saturday, July 18 – 5:30 pm- Albertsons Stadium Gates open to fans.  Please remind attendees that this event will be no re-entry due to alcohol sales.

Saturday, July 18 – 9:00pm – 1:00am – The Basque Soccer Friendly’s Official After Party will be held on 6th and Grove Street hosted by Tom Grainey’s, directly across from the Basque Block downtown. Local Food trucks, DJ The Mighty Deltaone and $3 beers and kalimotxos will be available.
